About Kora
Kora is a software company. We provide a hosted booking and operations platform that businesses use under their own brand to sell bookable time, capacity, and services.
What Kora is
Kora is a white-label booking platform for operators who sell time — for example vacation rentals, vehicle or boat charters, escape rooms, yoga studios, and consulting practices. We host scheduling, checkout flows, guest messaging, and related tools; each operator presents their own brand to guests.
Who Kora is for
The product is built for businesses that sell bookable time or capacityand need a single system for availability, pricing rules, payments integration, and post-booking communication. Kora is not a consumer marketplace — guests typically land on an operator's own listing or website experience.
What you can do with Kora
- Sell asset rentals (homes, vehicles, equipment), timed sessions with capacity (tours, classes, escape rooms), and staff-based services (appointments, consultations).
- Manage availability, schedules, blackout dates, and multi-resource booking rules with no double-bookings.
- Run a branded checkout backed by Stripe (Apple Pay, Google Pay, cards, automatic tax) with magic-link guest portals.
- Automate transactional email and SMS notifications, review requests, waitlist promotions, and reminders.
How payments show up
There are two different billing relationships in typical Kora deployments, both may involve Stripe:
- Operators pay Korafor the software product (subscription to Kora) on Kora's own Stripe Billing account.
- Guests pay operatorsfor bookings or related purchases where enabled — those charges are processed on the operator's connected Stripe account (Stripe Connect), not on Kora's SaaS invoice.
- Platform fee on checkout (default): by default, a small booking/platform fee is paid by the guestas part of checkout — not as a marketplace-style commission taken from the operator's share of the booking price. Organizations may have options to adjust how this is configured or shown; see in-product settings and Terms.
Fee schedules, refund rules for a specific booking, and operator-specific terms are set by the business you book with. Platform-level legal documents are linked below.
Our role versus the operator
Kora is a software provider, not the merchant of record for a booking. The operator you book with is responsible for the underlying goods or services, applicable taxes, refund and cancellation rules, and regulatory compliance for their offering. Kora provides the technology that powers the booking, the checkout, and the messaging that surrounds it.
